In 2013, Samorn was one of four Artists-in-Residence at the Australian Design Centre in Surry Hills, Sydney. During this time, Samorn began a new collaboration with local designers Takahiro Shirai, Stephanie Said of T&S, and Sarah Spackman and Harriet Watts of The Fourtynine Studio. Together, they designed and produced a collection of leather goods crafted from locally sourced Australian leather, complemented by Samorn’s handwoven Lao silk. This collaboration served as a celebration of contemporary Australian craft and design.
